no ѕocιal мedιa ғor one weeĸ

In today’s world we are consumed in social media, We want to see what people are posting or where they went on vacation etc. or we post on media how we feel or we post things that are not nearly as important like who want to know you’re going to the bathroom (TMI=  Too much info) I will fess up I get consumed with media, I would spend hours and hours or check my media account like every second of the day. So I will share with you why I gave up social media for one week! :)
I was encouraged by a Pastor’s wife at my church to do a fast no social media for a week and to pray about a situation that I needed to make a decision about. So my answer was okay, I will do it. On Monday November 2nd I started my no social media, on Sunday November 1st I posted to share with everyone what I was doing and why I was doing it. The few responses I got were like you can do it and that’s going to be hard. My thoughts were I can do this! I’m going to stick to it!

Im doing something that I have never done and going to stick to and do it more often. Im doing no social media for a week
( monday-friday ) Today in church Pastor Mike encouraged us that we need to create space for God, I felt like his whole sermon was for me, So when I do no social media for a week I will be spending more time with God whether thats in his word or praying or listening to joyce meyer or joel osteen or someone like that.
Create space for an extraordinary life! Pastor Mike

So I have come to the end of my social media for a week, I would say it was easy for me. After doing this I’m going to do it each month for 1 week. I will be honest after doing this it shows you on addicting social media can be and I can say I was addict to media I was on it 24/7. So my new plan is not to spend so much time on media and maybe spend a certain amount of time on my media accounts. Why take a break from social media? Separate yourself from the world for a couple days and spend time with family, friends or God.

I would like to encourage you to try it out even it’s for a week or a couple days. It may be hard or may be tempting do go on social media,I believe you can do it!
