Acquaintance V.S. Best Friend
In today’s story I will share with
you about friends and how I have had friends and come and go and how I make
friends and what type of friends you should be looking for. So here we go! Hope
you enjoy this story!
Growing up I never had really best
friends, I mostly considered everyone a friend then slowly friends started
drifting off and then I found myself alone sometimes and ever since that
happened I was always sitting by myself at lunch or during recess just sitting
in the corner. The day had come I was entering high school and to mention this
was a new high school and I didn’t know anyone I felt completely lost because I
didn’t know anyone. After a few weeks I started making friends. I met this girl
and she was in a few of my classes and suddenly I connected with her and we
would always hang out. Then the time came graduation... ever since then we have
not yet seen each other. During high school I met a girl from my church she was
new to my church and we connected well
then on the weekends we would always hang out, she would stay for a
couple days and my house she was like a part of my family. We were like sisters
I told her a lot about me and she told me a lot about her story. We started
drifting away from each other for some reasons and now we no longer speak to
each other. Ever since those two friends that I thought we be my friends for a
long time I have learned to not get attached to anyone that I come into contact
we because I know they will just leave me and I will just not be worth getting
to know someone or letting them in my life. Now that I’m 22 I feel that I need
friends because I would like to share with someone how I’m feeling or to just
ask them for advice. So now I’m trying
to be a little bit more outgoing and connect with people.
I share these stories with you to
show you how I make friends and how I have friends. Now ill share some advice
and some articles and quotes to help you know to surround yourself with great
friends.
I read at article by Elite Daily the
topic of this article is- It’s Quality:
I Don’t Want A Lot Of Friends, I Just Want Deep Ones. They listed a few things
about how to look for friends and I pulled some one that I can rely to and what
I want in a friend and what possibly that you can look for in a friend. Here is
the link for the article: http://elitedaily.com/life/culture/i-want-deep-friends
Here are my top 7:
I don’t want Facebook messages; I want deep conversations.
I don’t want friends to talk about others; I want friends who
inspire others.
I don’t want friends who judge; I want friends who empower.
I don’t want friends who just talk; I want friends who listen
and absorb.
I don’t want friends who share gossip; I want friends who
share stories.
I don’t want friends to chill with; I want friends to explore
with.
I don’t want friends who carry the weight of the world; I
want friends who want to improve the world.
Hope you enjoyed this blog! I pray blessings
over you!
♥Always, Brook Prado
